Please enjoy the stunning array of photographs of Lake Wollumboola and its wildlife. Be  inspired to participate in practical conservation activites as well as supporting our campaign to protect the natural and Aboriginal cultural heritage values of the lake and its catchment as part of Jervis Bay National Park.

The proposed West Culburra mixed use Concept Plan SSD 3846 is of major concern, as it proposes extensive urban development in both the Lake Wollumboola and neighbouring Crookhaven River catchments. For background refer to Campaign Page.

The proponent the Halloran Trust, has recently completed a Supplementary Response to Submissions which is now available on the Department of Planning and Environment website at:

http://majorprojects.planning.nsw.gov.au/index.pl?action=view_job&job_id=3846

This Response fails to adequately address our long-held concerns regarding impacts of urban development expansion on native vegetation and wildlife, the water quality of the highly sensitive ecosystems of Lake Wollumboola, the Crookhaven River and the character of Culburra Beach.

We will be conveying our concerns to the Department of Planning and Environment and in due course the Planning Assessment Commission, which is the decision-making body for this application.

Please contact us on info@wollumboola.org.au for further information.
